The German power-metal zombie band DOMINUM performed their premiere festival performance at this year's METALFEST in PILSEN, and their energetic, very intense horror show gained a huge enthusiasm from you, the fans. In addition, Mr. Dead aka Felix Heldt together with FEUERSCHWANZ shares the gold medal in the art of natural communication with the audience! It was, in a word, a sensation, and this zombie unit "bited" and infected whole crowds of fans with their cat...

Thunder, lightning, regular showers and stronger streams of water from the sky, moments of relief only with heavy clouds overhead, only a few bright moments with the sun, but mainly METAL! It was just metal that stormed in PILSEN the strongest during those 3 unpleasant days and simply completely destroyed any attempts by the weather to throw you off. You have proven that you are fantastically hardened by metal and nothing will stop or discourage you! The 13th edition of Pilsen´s METALFEST is behind us. It was unusually colorful, and even when it comes to the colors in the audience, raincoat manufacturers probably don't like black much. We spent three extraordinary days and nights together and once again felt how music and especially metal can unite and delight. We hope that you have gathered enough energy at least until the middle of July, when we are serving another, this time a 4-day metal cure in VIZOVICE, at the 20th jubilee MASTERS OF ROCK.

The third, final day of METALFEST 2024 is marked by the April weather. The sun finally made its way here, which was then pushed out by the rain again, and there was even some lightnings and thunders, but metal, metal still rules here. It charges and strengthens all visitors with its energy and successfully relegates the vagaries of the weather to an insignificant place. With hopeful prospects for better weather, today we start the third, last day of the 13th edition of the METALFEST OPEN AIR 2024 festival. Last night was a wonderful metal experience when, after years, TARJA appeared on the same stage together with MARKO HIETALA. After a series of triumphant performances in South America, this dynamic metal duo dominated the entire Lochotín amphitheater in PILSEN last night. The 2nd day of the METALFEST OPEN AIR international metal festival in PILSEN continues, despite the fact that the weather is not exactly favorable and the sky has been showering us with a greater or lesser amount of water since the very morning. The first day of the 13th metal festival METALFEST OPEN AIR is in the grand finale. The massive sound waves coming from the Lochotín amphitheater and the maximum effort and commitment of all the performers even stopped the rain for a while. The meadows are in danger of flooding tonight!

Due to the forecast of rainy weather for tonight and Saturday, we have decided to close the public campsite and parking in the meadows on Jíkalka, which are around the river.

From now on, the organizing service will not allow any more cars and tents here, and we will send all the cars and tents that have been here since yesterday to other areas.

We will move the tents to the Lochotín park near the amphitheater. We recommend parking your car in the Globus Plzeň parking lot (free parking) or in the garage (cheap parking,...

The 13th year of the METALFEST OPEN AIR festival starts tomorrow, Friday 31.5. at 12:30 and the gates of the festival grounds will open at 11:30! But the strapping started today and many fans have already arrived for their festival bracelet without waiting. If you are in Pilsen, stop by too. We are banding today until 10:00 p.m. and tomorrow we continue from 09:00 a.m.

Festival this year will be start the extravagant electro metal band ALIA TEMPORA 

Metal fans, unfortunately we have some bad news. Due to illness, the band April Art had to cancel their performance.

However, we managed replacement.  In their place will be the energetic band ALIA TEMPORA, whose face, heart and soul is the young, likeable singer Markie Morávková, who will surely put you in the right festival mood. Already tomorrow from 12:30.

Due to the weather forecast for the next few days, when it is supposed to be rainy, we have a recommendation for visitors who planned parking on Jíkalka not to do it, because there may be a problem with leaving from the meadows.

We propose a solution where we redirect you to Autocamp Ostend, by the Bolevák pond in Pilsen (www.bolevak.eu). Here, such waterlogging of the meadows should not occur.
