METALFEST 2024 pulls another ace up its sleeve! After long 18 years, TARJA TURUNEN and MARKO HIETALA will present themselves on the same stage in a joint show! Their joint tour, entitled "Living the Dream - The Hits Tour 2024", will tour South and Central America in the spring. But! Right after that, Tarja and Mark will move on to a completely unique and exclusive performance that they are putting together for the Pilsen´s METALFEST!
TARJA released her first greatest hits album: "Best of Tarja - Living the Dream", on which she selected the songs herself. Mostly hers, and especially the fan favorites. The album features her new single 'Eye of The Storm' along with material from all her rock albums 'My Winter Storm', 'What Lies Beneath', 'Colours in the Dark', 'The Brightest Void', 'The Shadow Self' and "In the Raw".
TARJA is rightly referred to as the queen of the symphonic rock scene and is by far the most famous Finnish solo artist in the world. She achieved worldwide fame by being the voice and face of the Finnish metal band NIGHTWISH for nine years, with whom she achieved gold and platinum records in many countries. But she did not sing alone in the band, the unmistakable voice of the charismatic bassist Marko Hietala added to the charm of a number of hits.
MARKO has gone through a very difficult period, which forced him to leave NIGHTWISH. He was not feeling well, suffering from depression, insomnia, anxiety, attention deficit disorder and despite receiving treatment, the decision to leave the band eventually helped him. He tried to find himself again. However, he did not end his music and after two years of silence he returned with new solo music pieces. Especially for the pilsen´s METALFEST, he and Tarja are now choosing songs in which they will sing together for you in the Lochotín amphitheater.
This will be a powerful and unrepeatable musical experience full of emotions!
