The metal summer in PILSEN will start on June 3rd this year with the Swedish heavy metal masters SABATON! With their brand new, spectacular show with a brand new setlist, they will open the metal festival season exactly in the place where the 15th edition of METALFEST OPEN AIR metal festival will start two days later, on Friday, June 5th, in the Lochotín Amphitheatre!

This song is the band's second collaboration with developer Wargaming on World of Warships, following the mega-popular single "Bismarck". For the first time, the SABATON-branded Yamato is also available in World of Warships, in addition to dialogue from vocalist Joakim Brodén and bassist Pär Sundström.
"Yamato" was the name of a massive Japanese battleship that was secretly built and unveiled in 1941 as the most dominant vessel of its kind. Designed to win naval warfare, it was the ultimate floating symbol of power. In 1945, it famously set sail on a suicide mission to defend Okinawa. Despite constant aircraft fire from above and a much larger enemy fleet afloat, "Yamato" and its crew never gave up. Instead, they fought to the bitter end, when a massive explosion dealt the ship its fatal blow. It sank in a blaze of glory…
Singer Joakim Brodén says of the song: “Battleships are interesting and naval stories have been part of SABATON’s tradition from time to time. ‘Bismarck’ was an exciting story for us that we wanted to share, and ‘Yamato’ is a kind of continuation of that song. Our former guitarist Tommy wrote this song when he was still in the band.”
Bassist Pär Sundström adds: “‘Bismarck’ was such an exciting song, but it was never part of the album and it felt like something was missing. We always wanted to continue that story. Over the years, countless fans have asked us to write a song about ‘Yamato’, and we knew it would be a natural continuation of what we started with ‘Bismarck’. We are collaborating again with World of Warships and since our worlds are so close, it was only natural to continue this great partnership. Together, we also created a legendary music video!”
