METALFEST OPEN AIR 2026 – Lochotín Amphitheatre, PLZEŇ – 5. – 7. 6. 2026

Swedish SOEN have chosen “Discordia” as the third single from their upcoming, seventh studio album “Reliance”, which the progressive metal band will release on January 16th.

The band shared their insights on the song. Drummer Martin Lopez (former member of Opeth/Amon Amarth) provided the following explanation: “‘Discordia’ is the result of how we were moving into different territories, both sonically and emotionally. We were experimenting with darker textures to capture the descent from self-defense to isolation.”
Frontman Joel Ekelöf adds: “The song is in the tension between the desire for connection and building walls to avoid pain. It is a song born from vulnerability and our willingness to explore the uncomfortable corners of our sound.”
