Finnish band BATTLE BEAST has confirmed the departure of their long-time singer Noora Louhimo. This news has already spread around the world and everyone wishes Noora good luck in her new life and career stage. The band is saying goodbye to the voice that defined their history, but at the same time they are excited to introduce their new singer: Marina La Torraca.
The band declares: “One story ends, another begins. We are excited to start this new chapter and introduce you to the new voice of Battle Beast, Marina.”
Marina La Torraca is a Brazilian singer from São Paulo, best known as the frontwoman of the modern metal band PHANTOM ELITE and as a member of the symphonic metal project EXIT EDEN.
Marina has a formidable voice, effortlessly transitioning from dramatic, melodic passages to fierce, harsh screams. In addition to her metal career, she has appeared in professional musical theatre productions, and off stage is also a respected graphic designer, vocal coach, producer and composer.
Marina La Torraca comments: “When I first saw the email with Battle Beast and my name in the subject line, I honestly thought it must be a mistake. But once I opened it, I couldn’t be happier. I am so honored to be a part of this new chapter of theirs and I am deeply grateful for the band’s trust and support. Is it a little scary to follow in the footsteps of a vocal legend like Noora? Sure! Is it also very exciting? Absolutely. Battle Beast is one of the hardest working and most sincere, talented bands and I am proud to help them continue to grow and spread joy. Buckle up – it’s going to be fun.”
