Swedish progressive metallers SOEN recently released a new single “Mercenary” from their upcoming studio album “Reliance”, which will be released on 16th of January 2026 and which they will also present live, at the beginning of June 2026, at the Lochotín Amphitheatre in Pilsen, at the 15th edition of the international metal festival METALFEST OPEN AIR!

With the album “Reliance”, SOEN continue to search for incredible new paths into spatial areas between light and darkness and noise and silence. Honesty, that’s what permeates the new album, where emotional gravity and raw power coexist without compromise. It is a duality that defines the sound of SOEN, a willingness to confront darkness not for the sake of spectacle, but for the sake of truth.
