...a new single and video!
METALFEST OPEN AIR 2026 – Lochotín Amphitheatre, PILSEN – 5. – 7. 6. 2026
Symphonic metal band BEYOND THE BLACK recently shared the fourth single from their eagerly awaited studio album “Break The Silence”, which is due out on January 9th, 2026. Pre-orders are now open >>HERE<<
The catchy and fast-paced track 'Can You Hear Me' brings together the charming singer Jennifer from BEYOND THE BLACK and Asami from the Japanese power metal band LOVEBITES in a captivating and anthemic duet. The song thematically deals with the growing problems with communication in an increasingly noisy, fast-paced and deceptive world. This universal message is underlined by being sung in both English and Japanese. The single was also released with a Japanese-style animated video, so check it out.
Singer Jennifer Haben said: “Can You Hear Me is a song about a shared desire for true connection – two voices from different worlds, cutting through the noise to truly be heard.”
Asami (Lovebites) added: “I’m really excited to be a part of ‘Can You Hear Me’ with Beyond The Black. It’s a powerful song and collaborating across countries and cultures has been an inspiring experience. We hope this message reaches people everywhere.”
BEYOND THE BLACK’s sixth album “Break The Silence” is a concept album rooted in melodic metal with ethno influences. It explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience and the urgent need to reconnect in a divided world.
It will be a powerfully emotional musical experience that reflects today’s complex world. BEYOND THE BLACK invites you all to become a part of this new chapter, for example in June in PILSEN, in the great Lochotín amphitheater, at the 15th ediiton of the international metal festival METALFEST OPEN AIR!
